C.P. Company Introduces "The Eclipse" Recoloring Process for FW19
Combining dark colors with hi-vis resin-covered hues.
C.P. Company is elevating its unique garment dying process with the introduction of “The Eclipse,” a new two-step recolor migration process introduced for Fall/Winter 2019.
The proprietary technology process is unique to the Massimo Osti-founded brand, which is often at the forefront of developing innovative techniques in order to rework its signature garments. Having previously worked with materials such as natural Indigo dye, C.P. Company continues its acclaimed garment dying legacy with “The Eclipse,” which instead of using traditional garment dye, employs a high visibility polyester substrate in fluorescent colors.
A second color is then applied — similar to its traditional recoloring process — but instead, “The Eclipse” makes for a darkening of the original color, which then allows for a semi-visible background color layered behind transparent resin. As a result, garments are finished with contrasting seam details and multiple layers of color depth thanks to the contrast between darkened colors and high visibility hues.
