Virgil Abloh's 'Figure of Speech' Book Releases Via MCA Chicago
Your chance to cop the 496-page retrospective.
After previously taking a look inside Virgil Abloh‘s book Figures of Speech, the Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago has announced it will now be releasing the retrospective journal.
The book release follows collaborative T-shirts made for the “Figures of Speech” exhibition and the announcement that the Virgil Abloh x MCA Chicago x Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 “University Blue” will be releasing soon. Figures of Speech spotlights Virgil’s work with the likes of Nike, Louis Vuitton, Kanye West and IKEA, covering disciplines such as fashion, design and architecture.
Figures of Speech is packed with 1,932 images and a number of essays which discuss race, contemporary art history, streetwear and more. Altogether, the Prestel-produced book spans 496 pages and features a fittingly minimalist hardback cover. MCA Chicago has listed Virgil Abloh’s Figure of Speech book for sale on its website for $65 USD, which is available for one per person while stocks last.
In other news, Virgil Abloh has designed an orange Louis Vuitton capsule collection exclusive to his MCA Chicago exhibition.
