Period Correct Distills Motorsports Heritage for Summer 2019
Vintage typography and racing checkers.
Following the collaboration with Anti Social Social Club we saw back in May, Period Correct has returned with its Summer 2019 collection inspired by the rich heritage of motorsports.
The lineup is comprised of vintage typography and racing checkers, over a slew of lightly colored olive fabrics and faded indigo denim. Ranging from heavy-duty jackets, hoodies and graphic T-shirts to long-sleeves, crewneck sweaters and lightweight trousers, the assemblage is heavy in workwear and vintage auto influences.
One standout piece includes a crisp white chore coat, taking form in the traditional three-pocket construction. The jacket comes with tonal buttons, selvedged seams and double-stitching throughout. At the back are the words “P.C. Rally Team,” captioned with “Period Correct Racing & Engineering” below, while two buttons at the back waist provide a slight taper. Another highlight is a black jacket emblazoned with a graphic of a red Pegasus over a monochromatic checkerboard — the white squares are filled in with the letters “P.C. LTD.” Other garments like the heather-grey hoodie, cargo pants, jean jacket, tote bag, hats and various screen-printed tees round out the concise collection.
The Period Correct 2019 Summer collection will be available at 12 p.m. EST, June 22 at periodcorrect.com
