Peezy Takes a Rolls-Royce for a Late-Night Cruise in His "New Car Smell" Video
A smooth standout from his ‘No Hooks 2’ project.
Back in March, Detroit hometown-hero Peezy released the anticipated full-length follow-up to last summer’s No Hooks project, No Hooks 2. Made up of ten tracks, No Hooks 2 gave fans a sequel that was worth waiting for, with instant standouts including the long-awaited Payroll Giovanni collaboration “Loyal to the Game” and the David Wessin-produced “No Limit.” Now, continuing to support his No Hooks sequel, the street-rap icon links up with director Tremaine Edwards of Kardiak Films to serve up a new music video for another one of No Hooks 2‘s strong selections, “New Car Smell.” Notably, this week’s clip for “New Car Smell” features a cameo from Lil Meech and follows Peezy as he rides around in a Roll-Royce and takes nighttime trips to a jewelry store, a luxury car dealership and elsewhere, serving up bars and hanging out with his friends as his evening unfolds.
“The first one was in high demand, everybody was asking for me to do it … It was successful, so it only made sense for me to make a part two,” Peezy previously shared with us, breaking down the motivations behind his latest project. “This is like a sequel I want to continue in due time; I want to go up to four or five or something, and it was the perfect time to drop a part two … all bars, all the way through.”
