Ellie Goulding & Juice Wrld Connect for New, Pop-Leaning Single "Hate Me"
“It’s definitely lyrically different to most of my other songs.”
A couple months after delivering her contribution to the star-studded Game of Thrones soundtrack, Ellie Goulding teams up with Juice WRLD for a new collaborative single known as “Hate Me.” Notably, “Hate Me” comes to us following recent successes for both artists: Goulding’s “Close to Me” record has climbed the charts all over the globe and she has amassed over five billion views on YouTube, while Juice WRLD’s recent Death Race For Love LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Written by both Goulding and Juice WRLD, “Hate Me” also features production from Demi Lovato and Madonna producer Jason Evigan and Britney Spears, Kanye West and Jennifer Lopez collaborators The Monsters and Strangerz.
“I love how this song is a bit tongue in cheek, it’s definitely lyrically different to most of my other songs but it’s fun to play around a bit,” Ellie Goulding shares via an official statement, releasing a brief statement to coincide with today’s drop.
“I can take any life experience that I went through and talk about it at any point and time. I’m just making what comes to heart,” Juice WRLD explained to us this past March, opening up to us for a brief interview. “I don’t even focus too much to give [my music] a name and be like ‘Ah, ain’t nobody ever do this sh*t before me.’ I just make music and put it out and people call it what they want to call it.”

Towards the end of last week, Juice WRLD also appeared on BTS’ latest major single, “All Night.”
