adidas Basketball and Marvel Debut Donovan Mitchell’s Spider-Man-Inspired Signature Sneaker
The “D.O.N. Issue #1” will roll out in several Spidey-themed colorways.

Continuing from adidas and Marvel’s “Heroes Among Us” pack, the duo rejoin to craft Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell’s D.O.N. Issue #1, his first signature sneaker. The point guard took the opportunity of receiving his very own shoe to introduce a host of colorways in honor of his favorite superhero, Spider-Man.
Introduced in a Spidey-themed red, blue and white colorway, the D.O.N. (“Determination Over Negativity”) Issue #1 is a comfortable, yet sleek, silhouette ideal for Mitchell’s style of play. BOUNCE cushioning, a heavily padded ankle and unique treaded outsole all keep him grounded on-court, with a breathable mesh upper to ensure that air circulates around the foot. More playful touches include spider-web-inspired stitching on the toebox and tongue and a darker pattern on the outsole that lends a touch of contrast. A thematic badge on the tongue completes the design serving as a proper hybridization of Mitchell’s on-court personality and his web-slinging idol.
Mitchell’s D.O.N. Issue #1 “Amazing Spider-Man” — retail price $100 USD — drops via adidas Basketball’s website on July 1, a day before Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters. The shoe will then arrive at retailers on July 5.
Following the classic Spider-Man colorway, Mitchell’s signature silhouette will roll out in three more special makeups as the summer continues. “Symbiote Spider-Man,” “Stealth Spider-Man” and “Marvel’s Iron Spider” hit stores and sites on July 18, August 1 and August 31, respectively.
Most recently, adidas Originals delivered a stealthy UltraBOOST 19 “Core Black.”
Classic hotel bag mix-up, but I’m totally cool with it. @tomholland1996 Can I keep it? #SpiderManFromHome #ad pic.twitter.com/02bBATSTE8
