Danny Brown has yet to use singles and visuals to promote his anticipated new studio album uknowhatimsayin?, but that isn’t stopping him from hitting the spring and summer festival circuit to support the effort. Notably, the Detroit rapper used his recent slot at the latest iteration of Primavera Sound as a platform to premiere a new record off his forthcoming album. The song is reportedly called “Best Life,” and it appears to be our first real and substantial preview of uknowhatimsayin?‘s sonic style and creative direction.

Danny Brown’s uknowhatimsayin? is set to serve as the follow-up to 2016’s Atrocity Exhibition LP, making the project Danny Brown’s fifth overall full-length album and his first project in three years. Q-Tip signed on to fill the role of executive producer on the aforementioned release, while JPEGMAFIA and Paul White are also credited as producers. Concerning “Best Life,” Danny Brown has kept its full production credits under wraps.

You can check out Danny Brown’s recent Primavera Sound 2019 performance above, while uknowhatimsayin? is scheduled to see release later this year. His new music begins to unfold around the 41:30 mark. Stay tuned for more from theuknowhatimsayin? rollout.

Most recently, Open Mike Eagle recruited Danny Brown for a collaborative cut on The New Negroes original soundtrack.
