John Elliott and Blackmeans Rejoin for Distressed Leather Rider's Jackets

A new twist on a classic piece.

With several seasons under their belt, John Elliott and leather experts Blackmeans reunite for another selection of elevated leather jackets. Once again taking on the classic doubler rider’s silhouette, the duo have introduced a pair of distressed, painted layering pieces.

Offered in blue or ivory, the trim wardrobe staples are crafted by hand in Japan to Blackmeans’ exacting standards, before the special leather is coated with a unique treatment of paint. The end result is that each jacket is unique, riddled with cracks due to the nature of the artisanal paint job. A precise cut ensures that the garments hit right below the waistline, making the jackets especially easy to style. Epaulets, shoulder gussets, quilted lining and zippered pockets and cuffs grant functionality and flexibility to the garment, with a belted waist to adjust the fit as needed.

Both styles of rider’s jacket are available now via John Elliott’s web store and Melrose flagship.

Most recently, Elliott delivered another elevated Lebron Icon silhouette.
