BTS made history once again following its sell-out performance at London’s Wembley Stadium. The seven-piece K-pop boy band is the first South Korean group to headline the stadium and played to 60,000 fans.

BTS held a 24-song set and paid a tribute to Freddie Mercury with an “ay-oh” chant, honoring the singer’s legendary Live Aid performance. BTS are big fans of the UK and its musical history, having previously paid respect to The Beatles on The Late Show in May. The gig was part of their “Love Yourself World Tour” and was the band’s third UK performance, following their performance at the 20,000-seater O2 Arena and the chart-topping album Map Of The Soul: Persona.

The K-pop sensations performed hits such as “Not Today,” “IDOL,” and “FAKE LOVE,” which were all streamed live across the world and projected in theatres in Japan.

Kim Nam-joon — also known as RM — said at the gig, “You guys always had the greatest artists, historically, in the music industry – The Beatles, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Adele. We don’t even have to make a list… So the UK was like the big, big wall to me. But tonight we, and you guys, just broke the wall.”

In other news, Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival is coming to LA in 2020.
