BTS' New "IDOL" Video Features Nicki Minaj & Spotlights Its Viral Dance Challenge
The chart-topping single receives a remix.
After teaming up with PUMA on a new Basket silhouette, BTS reconnect with Nicki Minaj for a vibrant new visual in support of the “IDOL” remix.
“You know I’ve been a boss for my whole career / I’m ’bout to Jet in the Lear,” Nicki Minaj raps, boasting about her place in rap’s upper echelon. “And put more than my hands in the air / Hands in the air, put your hands in the air / If you getting money, rubber bands in the air.”
The original “IDOL” video racked up the strongest 24-hour YouTube debut in history, so expect this one to go viral and hit the trending charts very, very soon. Today’s vignette also helps propel the rising “IDOL” dance challenge, with clips of submitted performances added to its final moments. The previous version of “IDOL” serves as the lead single in support of BTS’ Love Yourself: Answer album, which captured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, making BTS the very first Korean group to claim the coveted No. 1 slot.
