Takashi Murakami’s “MURAKAMI vs MURAKAMI” Exhibition Merchandise

Takashi Murakami is selling limited edition merchandise at his “MURAKAMI vs MURAKAMI” exhibition in Hong Kong’s Tai Kwun Contemporary art space. Highlights include varying editions available in an array of colorways, coveted prints of the Japanese artist’s works on display and a selection of bright and bold plush flowers in various sizes. Collectors will also want to look out for the highly limited Tai Kwun–exclusive grey tone flower plushes made exclusively for the exhibition that will be releasing sometime in the summer. The “MURAKAMI vs MURAKAMI” exhibition open June 1 – September 1.

Blondey McCoy’s Epiphanies Gold Trimmed Plate Editions

Blondey McCoy will launch a solo exhibition in London’s Ronchini Gallery entitled “Stella Populis.” To commemorate the forthcoming presentation slated for launch on June 7, the British will release six gold trimmed plates that spotlight his 25 part series called Epiphanies. The artworks under the project have been embellished onto English breakfasts and photographed. As for the subjects portrayed, McCoy expressed that “these are inarguably the most fanatically fussed over icons of the moment,” in an Instagram caption. The set of six plates will be available in an edition of ten on McCoy’s website and Ronchini Gallery this Friday at 11 A.M. London time.

Geoff McFetridge’s Stüssy Japan x Modernica Bentwood Daybed

Artist Geoff McFetridge teamed up with Stüssy Japan and Modernica to deliver a special-edition home item. For the project, McFetridge seemingly translated his 2017 painting Infinite Tree onto the upholstery of the California furniture brand’s popular Bentwood Daybed. The couch-cum-bed is made from durable plywood with metal springs for optimal comfort.
Geoff McFetridge x Modernica Bentwood Daybed is currently being sold exclusively at Stüssy.jp for ¥453,600 JPY (approximately $4,190 USD).
Parra x Romance SS19 Cycling Kit Collaboration

London-based cycling apparel brand Romance joined forces with Dutch artist Parra for a Spring/Summer 2019 cycling kit collaboration. The collection is comprised of four new jerseys, two bibshort colorways and a new cap including a limited edition collab between Parra and Romance, featuring co-branding and an array of hues and patterns synonymous with the artist’s bold style. Romance often collaborates with artists under its Romance X division, which was put into place to develop collaborative kits for a good cause. All profits from the Romance X collaborations go toward Romance’s charity partner, World Bicycle Relief.
Basquiat: The Iconic Relationship Told in Andy Warhol’s Words & Pictures Taschen Book

New York-based artist Michael Dayton Hermann is spotlighting Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat’s friendship in a new book. Titled Warhol on Basquiat: The Iconic Relationship Told in Andy Warhol’s Words & Pictures, the publication includes entries from Warhol’s published diaries and over 400 unseen photographs of the legendary artists. One diary entry includes their first meeting in 1982 when Warhol referred to Basquiat as “the kid who used the name ‘Samo’ when he used to sit on the sidewalk in Greenwich Village and paint T-shirts, and I’d give him $10.”
