Khushi Drops Captivating Video for "From Me"
The video is directed by Parsons.
UK artist Khushi drops the video for his new single “From Me.” The record is Khushi’s second track this year. The London-based vocalist, songwriter and producer will drop his debut album due out later this year via Warner Bros. Records and the new LP cut follows his previous single “Freedom Falls.”
“The ‘From Me’ video is built around the improvisations of two dancers Elijah Laurant and Kya Bliss,” Khushi told HYPEBEAST. “They already knew each other and has a special dancing connection. The director, Parsons, and I wanted to give them space to bring their own creative instincts and natural chemistry to the process. They did an incredible job and Parsons, who also used to be a dancer, created an amazingly open, energetic and creative atmosphere on set. It was a madly fun day’s filming and this video is what emerged from that fertile chaos. The energetic shifts in the song are reflected with ever-evolving color and movement in the video – a treat for the eyes hopefully!”
The two songs are Khushi’s first new records since 2014. The forthcoming album was recorded over the past six years and produced by Khushi himself. Khushi is fresh off of touring North America and the U.K. with James Blake, with whom he worked with for Blake’s recent album Assume Form. In exchange, Blake contributed additional production on several songs and mixing on Khushi’s debut.
