Wayward Gets Graphic-Heavy With Brit-Culture Referenced SS19 Collection
Featuring a standout Staffordshire Bull Terrier T-shirt.
London-based label Wayward has returned with a graphic-heavy collection for Spring/Summer 2019. Founded by PWBC (Palace Wayward Boys Choir) skate crew members Daniel ‘Snowy’ Kinloch and James Edson in 2017, the brand has built itself a strong reputation for delivering clean staples and providing standout collaborations — such as its capsule with Pop Trading Company.
Pieces from its SS19 drop reference founders’ skateboarding history and heavy use of branding, while maintaining a unique look making it stand out from competitive skatewear brands. Key items from the drop include the Staffordshire Bull Terrier-printed T-shirt — a nod to British culture — and the psychedelic font T-shirt which features the face of a Rastafarian.
Elsewhere, Wayward has emblazoned its jagged moniker and emblem onto hoodies, long sleeves and T-shirts, while an embroidered “W” emblem cap rounds off the SS19 collection. Wayward shot its lookbook on an old Fujifilm camera, adding a retro theme to the images that you can see above. The collection will release on the Wayward website on May 31 at 9AM BST.
