Nike has returned to its ultra-technical React Runner ISPA silhouette for a redesign and a string of new colorways. The stand-out feature of the updated design is the upper constructed from perforated mesh rather than the usual water-resistant bootie to keep the wearer cooler during the summer months.
The sneaker references the ISPA acronym — which stands for “Improvise/Scavenge/Protect/Adapt” — through its technical construction, which also includes Nike’s signature React plugged-midsole. Elsewhere, the sneaker comes with hiking-inspired laces, taped ISPA-branded seams across the mid panel and an oversized Swoosh atop the mesh.
Nike’s updated React Runner ISPA will come in three colorways, including a white upper atop a black midsole, another tonal blue design and, finally, a yellow version of the sneaker. The full pack is set to drop via the Nike web store and select retailers on June 6.
In other Nike news, the brand has revealed its full “BETRUE” collection.
