Elhaus Highlights Experimental Textiles in SS19 "Gentle Metal" Editorial
The latest from the Jakarta-based imprint.

Indonesian-based imprint Elhaus has shared its Spring/Summer 2019 editorial titled “Gentle Metal.” Featuring the brand’s latest collection, the new lookbook showcases a variety of functionally-driven garments that relish in unique silhouettes, shapes, and prints.
The new editorial highlights the brand’s utilitarian sensibilities that mix effortlessly alongside traditional street style. The range blends a range of diverse textiles from 3-layered weatherproofing fabrics to the biodegradable Lyocell, which embraces the brand’s emphasis on environmental sustainability. A key piece highlighted is the Vagabond Jacket which fuses military-wear characteristics into a kimono — adding in 3D pockets for both function and aesthetic. More pieces utilize a muted, military-like color scheme, further accented by bold prints.
