MR PORTER has unveiled its new “Japan Edit,” seeing exclusive capsules from 15 designers and brands based in Japan. Overall, the collection will feature 122 pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories from the various brands, each of which has designed a range inspired by Japan’s style and culture.
Key names in the list include AMBUSH, BEAMS Plus, F-LAGSTUF-F, HUMAN MADE, Hender Scheme, KAPITAL, NEEDLES, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. and NEIGHBORHOOD. Stand-out items include a pink and glitter version of NEEDLES’ signature track pants, a black leather card holder from Hender Scheme and a distressed denim jacket from NEIGHBORHOOD.
To announce the collection, MR PORTER has revealed a campaign inspired by four different Japanese-inspired scenes — Tokyo nightlife, Tokyo architecture, a traditional Japanese bar and a modern tea room — each created by artist Tishk Barzanji. Take a look at the campaign images in the gallery above, and expect the collection to arrive on the MR PORTER web store on May 6.
