adidas Adds Vulcanized Skateboarding Soles to the Continental 80
Dropping in two clean colorways.
Following its recent Donald Glover collaboration and the release of various clean colorways, adidas continues to rework its retro-inspired Continental 80 silhouette for SS19, this time adding a vulcanized sole unit and premium materials to its low-key sneaker.
The adidas Continental Vulc appears in both black and navy and is constructed from canvas and premium suede. Featuring a myriad of trefoil branding and adidas typography throughout, the silhouette comes with minimalistic contrast white stitching alongside the lateral side and a grippy skateboarding-inspired sole unit.
Blending an aesthetic associated with adidas’ 1980s Casuals heritage and the Three Stripes’ skateboarding legacy, the Continental Vulc delivers an even further minimal approach to the clean retro-themed sneaker. The vulcanized sole unit features a gum sole complete with trefoil branding underneath and a grooved toe cap, which wraps around its two-piece sole unit construction.
The adidas Continental Vulc can be purchased from retailers such as ShoePalace and Schuh, with a price tag of £65 GBP (approx. $84 USD).
