Louis Vuitton's Latest SS19 "School Teens" Campaign Spotlights the Pivotal Years
Examining the transition from boyhood into adulthood.

After taking its LV 408 Trainer to the courts, Louis Vuitton is back with the third and final campaign for its Virgil Abloh designed Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Dubbed “School Teens,” the Raimond Wouda shot feature spotlights the pivotal years in an examination of the transition from boyhood into adulthood. Inspired by the Dutch Baroque schuttersstukken, images taken around schools in Los Angeles display formative communication between teenagers in group situations.
The students depicted in the campaign wear uniform like brightly colored T-shirts, a nod to Virgil’s debut SS19 presentation and an expression of the duality that stems from a wanting to belong, contrasted by the need for individuality. Once again the latest exploration of wardrobe and identity features Virgil Abloh’s athleisure-focussed footwear offerings like the LV Trainer Sneaker in its Boot and Mid-Top construction, along with the simpler LV Runner Sneaker.
