K-Pop girl band sensation BLACKPINK has released their latest project Kill This Love, dropping alongside it the music video for the group’s title track. The song “KILL THIS LOVE” is just one of five tracks on the new EP, and features a cinematic visual directed by Hyun Seung Seo.
The EP and hit title track marks the K-Pop band’s first release since partnering with Interscope Records and the Universal Music Group, with the music video reflecting the huge steps the band continues to make. The quartet is supported by back up dancers, visual effects, grand backgrounds and slick edits that echoes the tracks punchy hi-hat backing beat.
The music video gives an idea as to what BLACKPINK’s Coachella performance will offer. The band are marking history with the Coachella performance, too, as they will become the first K-Pop girl band to play the Californian festival. The release of Kill This Love and the Coachella performance will mark the beginning of BLACKPINK’s North American tour, which takes place throughout April and May 2019.
