BAPE Teases Upcoming Barbie Collaboration
Decked out in a miniature shark hoodie and Bapestas.
A Bathing Ape and Mattel Barbie have just taken to its respective Instagram accounts to tease a special collaboration. In the caption, it reads that the two are putting the “finishing touches” on the collab, where the iconic Barbie doll can be seen sporting BAPE’s signature camo Shark Hoodie, a pair of Skull Stas, all the while holding the brand’s paper retail bag in a miniature version of the BAPE STORE.
Mattel’s photo shows a close-up version of Barbie while she’s in a room full of BAPE Karimoku couches and Bape Eames chairs.
There’s no word yet on how extensive this collaboration will be, but it does look like it is happening. Stay tuned as we’ll be updating you as news arrives.
