Japanese footwear stalwart ABC-MART has reworked the PUMA Thunder Spectra Disc for a highly-exclusive drop, in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

The Thunder Spectra Disc combines the chunky retro-inspired Thunder silhouette with Disc Blaze technology, a system that allows wearers to customize the fit of the shoe thanks to a unique tightening system made possible by internal wires. For the ABC-MART 40th anniversary release, the collaborative sneaker adopts the OG colorway of the Thunder Spectra and updates it in a host of premium materials.

Wrapped in a luxurious mix of fury black pony hair and red, blue and neon yellow suede, the special-release Thunder Spectra Disc sits atop its colorblocked chunky sole unit and is complete with retro PUMA branding, tongue tabs and the iconic Disc adjuster.

Limited to just 40 pairs worldwide, the ABC-MART-exclusive will retail for ¥43,200 JPY (approx. $385 USD). Releasing on April 4 at 4:44 am JST, head to the ABC-MART website to be in with a chance of copping the highly-limited pair.

For those who are a fan of the hybrid Thunder Spectra Disc Blaze silhouette, check out these monochromatic general release Disc-mashups, which are available now.
