“From Bangkok to Indonesia.”

Bangkok-based label TAKARA WONG enlists its sub-label TKW for a special collaboration between Indonesia’s THANKSINSOMNIA.

Inspired by the idea of connecting creatives from all over the globe, the capsule lookbook reminds us that everyone should take that journey in crossing land and sea to meet new friends, and to learn of new cultures. Inspired by ’90s-era graphics and Japanese anime, the visuals see retro-style coloring and lo-fi themes.

As a direct reference to how Thakorn Wannawong met Mohan Hazian of THANKSINSOMNIA, the main graphic is of an on-plane entertainment system monitor, showing the “flight tracker” map. In the mock screen, both the cities Jakarta and Bangkok are highlighted with red dots while a rewind, pause, and fast-forward button graphic sit below the image.

The capsule collection is comprised of a 100% cotton hoodie, denim jacket, Hawaiian shirt, chino pants, sweat shorts, and a cap — all featuring the “From Bangkok to Indonesia” theme. The collection can be found now over at THANKSINSOMNIA’s online store.
