A Look Inside the Oscar Oiwa x Visionaire 'BLACK & LIGHT' Immersive Mural
A 2,700 square-foot mural inside an inflatable dome.
From February 25 to March 8, Oscar Oiwa spearheaded an ambitious project with Visionaire entitled BLACK & LIGHT. For the creative undertaking, the Japanese-Brazilian artist painted a sprawling black and white mural inside an inflatable dome — with over 2,700 square feet of surface area — located beside New York City’s Cadillac House. The intricate composition features Oiwa’s signature surreal landscapes and otherworldly characters such as Light Rabbit and Shadow Cat. The artist’s entire process was live-streamed outside the structure for the public to see.
