Netflix's First Interactive Series Lets You Decide Bear Grylls' Fate
‘You vs Wild’ debuts April 10.
Following the success of Bandersnatch — Netflix‘s first interactive instalment of Black Mirror — the popular streaming service and production house is now debuting its first-ever interactive series with the help of ex-SAS serviceman, outdoor survival expert and TV personality, Bear Grylls.
You vs Wild puts Grylls once again in severe, unpredictable landscapes, but unlike his previous shows, this time the audience holds the steering wheel, deciding what course of action the survival expert should take. The season will have eight episodes, giving viewers plenty of opportunities to direct Grylls, from snow-covered mountains through thick forests to scorching barrens, helping him escape the treacherous terrains and precarious situations.
Unlike Bandersnatch, while Grylls does find himself in tough, life-threatening circumstances, the show is meant to be more family friendly, with Netflix hoping to cater to a larger audience. You vs Wild will release on April 10, and the streaming service has already released an interactive teaser video on Youtube, which you can check out above. Viewers be warned though — your decision may lead to an encounter with spiders.
