Hublot Creates Limited-Edition Trio of Big Bang Watches for Scuderia Ferrari
Celebrating 90 years of the Maranello manufacturer.
Hublot has celebrated Scuderia Ferrari‘s 90th birthday with a collaborative trio of Big Bang watches, continuing the two brand’s art of fusion strategy and love for technical, rare masterpieces.
With a 45-mm bezel constructed from the same ceramic carbon that is used on Formula 1 racing cars’ brake discs, each limited edition watch is inspired by early Scuderia models and there exposed internal workings and stripped-back racing aesthetic. Utilising Hublot’s world-class UNICO movement, a flyback chronograph that offers a 72-hour power reserve, the watches look to the classic yellow speedometer of the Scuderia’s for its dial inspiration and draw design language from racing bucket seats and suits for its straps.
The standout model is the transparent case Hublot Big Bang. Made from sapphire, the timepiece blends modern technology with its nods to vintage racing throughout, with a strap made from kevlar for a more futuristic look.
The watches are indicated by their colored accents, with the platinum edition seeing Scuderia Yellow, red for the 3D carbon edition and black for the sapphire edition, dressing the border and the numbers.
All three watches will be available in a limited edition run of 90, with ten collector sets featuring all three watches available to a lucky few. The watches are at $34,600 USD for 3D carbon, $40,900 USD for the platinum and $69,000 USD for the sapphire edition. Head to Hublot boutiques to purchase your iconic timepiece.
