Eytys Looks to the '90s With New Sonic Silhouette
Referencing music videos and streetwear brands of the era.

With its first full ready-to-wear line set to arrive for Fall/Winter 2019, Swedish label Eytys has unveiled a new silhouette to add to its footwear line-up. Named the Sonic, the sneaker is inspired by the way that the 1970s was channeled in the late ’90s, with reference points including Beck, New Radicals’ videos and streetwear brands of the time.
The sneaker features a squared toe, as well as an upper constructed from either silky suede or canvas. Arguably the stand-out detail of the oversized sneaker is its embroidered rainbow branding and heart-shaped sole logo. The Sonic is set to release in three colorways — black, “Ecru” and “Rosso — via the Eytys web store and at select retailers including SSENSE on March 7.
