Earlier this month, fast-rising Detroit rapper 42 Dugg signed with Yo Gotti‘s CMG record label, choosing to join the down-south icon’s team “in collaboration with” Lil Baby’s 4PF venture. Now, for his first major release under the CMG and 4PF banner, the Midwest up-and-comer serves up a video for a new single with Yo Gotti, “You Da One.” Shot in Detroit, 42 Dugg and Yo Gotti’s “You Da One” visual comes to us courtesy of acclaimed director Jerry Production.

“The song was just made organically me and Gotti vibing—in the studio feeding off each other talking crazy,” Dugg shared with Complex. “Far as the video we was really tryna show the world like the regular day in Detroit but the turnt side like us really in the hood cutting up.”

“I [brought] him out to one of my shows in Detroit and he rocked it,” Gotti explains. “Duggs rocks with me and Duggs rock with Lil Baby and he wanted us both involved. We’re worldwide hustlers you can be from anywhere if you got it you got it.”

Speaking to Billboard previously, Yo Gotti also called 42 Dugg a “superstar.” “He’s got the voice, music, look, and the hustle,” Gotti shares. “I spent the last couple of weeks moving around with him. Just in Detroit alone, I watched him and how he moves and how ppl react to his presence and his music. Also, how he takes his shit serious. I’m all in!”
