Richardson rejoins old pal Mark Gonzales for a special revival of select goods from the New York-based brand’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Bonjour Records requested the duo reunite to deliver the monochrome graphics in time for the Japanese record label’s reopened Fukuoka store.
Bonjour Records frequently joins Richardson to release the New York imprint’s wearables and occasional mixes, and Richardson often returns the favor but offering Western customers the exclusive opportunity to grab Bonjour Records’ merch. The Richardson link isn’t Bonjour Records’ only foray into youth culture, however; the record label sells garments from other reliably hip companies, like Bianca Chandon and System Magazine.
This release sees signature hoodies and sweaters executed in black or white, with a black graphic drawn by The Gonz himself. A nod to Richardson FW14, “Cowboys & C*nts,” the doodle is a reimagined logo, with illustrative linework bolstered by a classic circular Richardson logo at the chest and the “O” in Richardson tweaked in line with the collection’s theme. Minute Richardson branding at the right sleeve completes the design.
The goods are now available at Bonjour Records’ renewed Fukuoka outpost. Below, you can revisit Bonjour Records’ party at the dearly-missed colette.
Most recently, Richardson tapped Jamaican nightclub SHADES for an exclusive capsule collection.
