Off-White™‘s womenswear offerings are no less exciting than its menswear, with plenty of surprising sneaker reveals and adventurous designs guaranteed for each runway presentation. Last season was a tribute to the track and field experience, and the teasers for the upcoming presentation have hinted at a more refined offering.
Designer Virgil Abloh has spotlighted only a few bits and pieces of the upcoming show, though the name and complete theme remain under wraps. So far, fans have been treated to an early look at a leather “Jitney” bag covered in an embossed, warping black-and-white checkerboard pattern and complementary set design. Abloh also highlighted some extremely long dresses being assembled in the Off-White™ atelier — six 15-meter (approximately 50-foot) dresses were assembled in less than two days.
Lastly, the man behind the brand showcased a selection of the jazzy music that will be played during the set — including a track from jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal. Abloh credited J. Dilla for having “his fingerprints … on the fw20 women’s @off____white runway show music.”
The show goes down at 1 PM EST; watch the livestream via the embedded video below.
