Higher Brothers Drops Sophomore Studio Album 'Five Stars'
The Chengdu hip-hop crew returns with a range of heavy-handed slappers.

Higher Brothers, the notorious Chinese hip-hop group from Chengdu, have returned with its hard-hitting, feature-heavy sophomore album titled Five Stars.
Released via Asian-spotlighting label and collective 88 Rising, the newly launched project features a range of quality-toting features from the likes of ScHoolboy Q, Ski Mask The Slump God, Denzel Curry, J.I.D., Soulja Boy, Guapdad 4000, and fellow 88 Rising-affiliated stars Rich Brian, KOHH and NIKI. Even so, infamous Joji is on the production side of things on the horror-esque track “Zombie.” Sporting a range of varying genres from more R&B centric hits to heavy trap hitters, the crew’s effortlessly rapped out lyrics in the Sichuan dialect is nothing short of an accomplishment within the Western hip-hop market.
