Our Closer Look at Dior's Pre-Fall 2019 Collection Includes $35,000 USD Metal Saddle Bag
Up close with Kim Jones’ latest collection.

Dior‘s Hajime Sorayama-indebted Pre-Fall 2019 collection was first spotlighted in a brief campaign, showcasing the glistening goods in all their glory. Ahead of the collection’s release date in the summer, we got up close with the Kim Jones-designed items, which range from gleaming silver layering pieces to a contemporary update to Dior’s iconic Saddle Bag.
Paperweight silver shirts and futuristic jewelry courtesy of Yoon Ahn underlined the collection’s Sorayama influence. Rollercoaster buckles courtesy of 1017 ALYX ISM returned, giving a pair of strappy sandals and trim leather bags a high-tech upgrade. Show-stopping items included a shirt and pant set emblazoned with Sorayama’s robotic women and a stunning, weighty metal Saddle Bag that retails for no less than $35,000 USD.
