Activision and From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has won Game of the Year at this year’s The Game Awards ceremony. The acclaimed title, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and Kazuhiro Hamatani, beat out the likes of Resident Evil 2, Control, and even Hideo Kojima‘s Death Stranding, which utilizes several motion-captured performances from Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and other Hollywood actors. However, the title walked away with Best Direction, Best Performance for Mikkelson, and Best Score. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice even made it in our top 10 games of 2019.

Other winners include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Best Audio Design, Fortnite for Best Ongoing Game, Devil May Cry 5 for Best Action Game, and more. Check out the full list of winners below.
