Post Malone is closing 2019 with the biggest album of the year. According to HITS Daily Double, Hollywood’s Bleeding has garnered 2.6 million in total activity since its release in early September, beating pop stars Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift who follow him at Nos. 2, 3 and 4.
Hollywood’s Bleeding debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart with 489,000 equivalent album units and has spent five non-consecutive weeks at No. 1, effectively making it the longest-running No. 1 album of the year. Aside from Posty’s third studio album, his 2018 predecessor beerbongs & bentleys and 2016 debut LP Stoney also placed in this year’s top 50 biggest albums, taking the No. 6 and No. 29 spots respectively. The artist is currently up for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards with Swae Lee for “Sunflower,” a cut from Hollywood’s Bleeding and a single from the soundtrack of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
