New Balance 860 V2 Appears In Classic White, Silver and Red
Peak dad shoe vibes from the revitalized runner.
After New Balance revitalized the 860 V2 this past fall, it’s set to keep the silhouette’s momentum rolling into the early days of 2020 with a traditional white, silver and red colorway. Combining late ’90s running style with still-comfortable technology and a dad-esque look, this 860 V2 is just as at home pounding the streets as it is pacing the sidelines of a youth league basketball game.
Geared towards performance, the 860 V2 equips a full mesh upper with fused seams. Here, the mesh is split between white on the forefoot/heel and red on the quarter. The seams are dressed in black and boast red/silver patterns. More hits of silver arrive via the midfoot’s N logo, the toe cap and the eyestays. A black tongue and sockliner proffer dark contrast with the rest of the sporty accents.
Heading to the lower half, midsoles equip New Balances “NErgy” technology, made visible by silver gel columns on the heel. Firm grey foam and a plastic shank are visible by the arch for support. Lastly, a grippy black rubber outsole ensures traction, grounding the design both literally and figuratively.
The New Balance 860 V2 “White/Silver/Red” will release at retailers like Caliroots on January 15, complete with an MSRP of $130 USD.
New Balance also gave its 580 a durable makeover recently, equipping it with full GORE-TEX uppers.
