Vans has released a new Slip-On EXP Pro in “Navy/Frost” as part of its highly exclusive Arcad distribution class. Only stocked at the world’s most distinguished retailers, Arcad products represent the pinnacle of Vans skate performance footwear and are extremely limited — the “Navy/Frost” was produced in a scarce run of 600 pairs.

Placing a rich blue suede above perforated blue mesh on its sturdy upper, this Slip-On EXP Pro’s main detail arrives via its Jazz Stripe — printed in a warm red that fades into a sunny yellow towards the heel and forefoot. A small Vans tag on the lateral collar and a red rubber heel badge handle the remainder of the branding before turning things over to the myriad of performance features.

Blue suede Velcro straps allows for customizable lockdown, while the icy grey rubber midsole creeps onto the upper, covering its ridges and low-slung seams. Apart from its interesting look this detail provides enhanced durability, protecting the supple suede against a skateboard’s rough griptape on flip tricks.

The most advanced piece of tech, however, is encased in the midsole. WaffleControl technology brings the wearer’s foot closer to the board while still maintaining a high level of cushion. This enables a better on-board feel without sacrificing comfort. Lastly, the outsole’s tread is intentionally cut deeper in the heel to help soften impact.

The Vans Slip-On EXP Pro “Navy/Frost” is available now at select shops like Australia’s Supply, with an MSRP of $190 AUD (approximately $130 USD).

If you’re thinking dollars when you think of footwear, The RealReal also released a list of the 9 sneakers that held the highest resell price on its platform over the course of 2019.
