Gucci Adds Distressed "Black/Grey" Suede & Leather to Retro-Tinged UltraPace
Complete with interlocking “GG” branding and orange highlights.
Gucci has dropped a new colorway for its retro-tinged UltraPace sneaker, adding distressed suede and leather in a season-appropriate “Black/Grey” hue.
The Alessandro Michele-designed pair is modeled on a vintage running sneaker, and this time around combines black and grey with bold hits of orange, pre-worn cream, and a host of house-specific symbols. Reflective fabrics and mesh have been used throughout, highlighting the “G” symbol on the front-quarter and the piping around the mid-sections when light is shone on it.
Elsewhere around the UltraPace, you can find an embroidered retro Gucci logo on the mid-panel, an interlocking “GG” emblem on the rubberized top eyestay, and a terry cloth lining finished in cream, while a classic Gucci tongue tab continues the heritage theme.
Contrasting the muted colorway is a handpainted orange segment on the midsole, which is continued onto the outsole’s branding. Take a look at the Gucci UltraPace Distressed Suede in “Black/Grey” in the gallery above, and pick up a pair for yourself at retailers such as MATCHESFASHION’s website for $866 USD.
