Following its seasonal lookbook, Manila’s Fortune W.W.D., Wonder Works Division, is back with the latest assortment of jewelry for FW19. Dubbed “War is Hell, Heaven Can Wait,” the lineup riffs on a militaristic concept with designs inspired by rock & roll, tattoos, and motorcycle culture.
Handcrafted by silversmiths 13 Lucky Monkey, the range includes a ring, necklace and bangle, meticulously detailed with various cuts, patinas and engraving for a distinctive rough-hewn look. First up is the W.W.D. Peace Ring, which sees a contrasting 10K gold emblem of a peace sign in the middle. The accessory has a stackable two-piece construction with a middle split in the shape of a zig-zag — a play on the concept of “disturbing the peace.” The next piece is the Tank Tread Bangle. The textured ridges on the bracelet is a reference to the tire treads found on the wartime machinery, while the pattern is rounded off by “F” on one end of the bracelet and a set of skulls on the other. The last piece is the Sniper Stock Chain, which can be worn as both a necklace or a wallet chain. Each piece in the lineup has been made with .925 Sterling Silver and has been marked with “Fortune” branding on the inside.
Fortune W.W.D.’s FW19 jewelry collection is currently available at its website, ranging from $345 – $620 USD.
