UMAMIISM Delivers Highly-Layered Fall/Winter 2019 Lookbook
A unique blend of Victorian classicism and steampunk.
Following its previous SS19 lineup, UMAMIISM is back with its latest FW19 lookbook, infusing functionality into an assemblage of warm, oversized layering silhouettes.
The collection includes a series of billowy wide-shouldered trench coats, fleece jackets, parkas, patchwork denim, nylon pants, shearling jackets, puffers, sweaters and T-shirts. The range is made up of a combination of bright pop colors and muted earth tones, like olive, purple, white, teal, black, blue, beige and orange.
One noteworthy piece is a beige oversized trench coast that’s reversible. Its exterior has been kept relatively minimal, covered in a creamy beige palette. Small pockets are placed along the upper chest and arms, while long zippers appear at the sides. Reversing the jacket, a bevy of panels has been color-blocked in palettes of beige, cream and navy. The back of the piece comes with detachable shoulder straps that can be worn over, while four pockets appear below. Another highlight in the collection is the blue trucker jacket. The piece comes with deep chest pockets at the front to go along with its baggy cut. The back of the piece is embroidered with colorful sketch-like caricatures of four portraits. Other garments like the reversible mac coat, distressed knitwear, puffer jackets and quilted liners round up the expansive range.
