Nike & Kyrie Irving Unveil the Kyrie 6 Preheat Collection
Inspired by the NBA star’s connection to the number 11 and his globetrotting curiosity.

Shortly after the official reveal of the Kyrie 6, Nike and Kyrie Irving have also unveiled the Kyrie 6 preheat collection inspired by the NBA star’s globetrotting curiosity.
The collection is comprised of 11 distinct iterations, with the number 11 being a repetitive figure in Irving’s life. The numerology’s history begins with his father, Drederick Irving, who wore a #11 jersey during his basketball career — a tradition the point guard continued during his high school basketball days and his professional career now with the Brooklyn Nets. In addition to family ties, “K” also just so happens to be the 11th letter of the alphabet, “Kyrie Irving” is 11 letters, he played 11 games at Duke University, he was drafted round 1, pick 1 in the 2011 NBA Draft and he recently surpassed the 11,000 point mark on March 11. Top top it off, 1+1’s metaphor for balance and harmony is an idea that resonates with the basketball player.
As the former Rookie of the Year’s stellar basketball career brings him to countries far and wide, Irving chose 11 cities with special meanings to represent each model: Beijing, Berlin, Guangzhou, Houston, Los Angeles, Manila, Miami, New York City, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo. Each iteration features camo-style uppers and outsoles, colored midfoot straps and a repeating eye insignia spread over the ankle.
The Kyrie 6 preheat collection drops November 11 exclusively in each respective city.
