Take a First Look Inside CELINE’s New Paris Haute Parfumerie
Introducing 11 fragrance creations from Hedi Slimane.
Continuing to carve out his place at CELINE, Hedi Slimane has launched nine of the 11 fragrance creations he has crafted for the French luxury label at a new boutique.Serving as CELINE’s first Haute Parfumerie, the Paris location has been designed to convey Slimane’s directed scent experience.
The space is dominated by Grand Antique marble accented by clean alabaster platforms by the windows, floor-to-ceiling glass display cases and a mirrored “perfumer’s organ” showcasing the fragrance line. Additional decorations come in the form of wood blocks by Luisa Gardini, artworks by Camilla Reyman and Søren Sejr and sculpture by Rochelle Goldberg made exclusively for the boutique.
Comprised of men’s and women’s fragrances, the scent line is an expression of the 1970s French style that has fueled Slimane’s time at CELINE. All 11 olfactory creations draw from a Slimane’s private journal filled of olfactive memories and have been expertly crafted in close collaboration with three lauded perfumers.
In line with the Creative, Artistic and Image Director’s contemplative and sentimental relationship with scent, the fragrances are given the names Reptile, La Peau Nue (Bare Skin), Cologne Française and Nightclubbing, Parade, Dans Paris, Saint-German-Des-Près, Eau de Californie, and Black Tie, with Bois Dormant and Rimbaud completing the range sometime in 2020.
