Très Bien Unveils Revamped HQ Store & Announces International Expansion
The space takes inspiration from Malmö and midcentury design.

Malmö-based retailer Très Bien has unveiled its redesigned flagship store in the Swedish city. The revamped store saw Très Bien enlist MP12, a Stockholm design studio and longtime collaborator. The design is inspired by public spaces and housing districts of Malmö while the space features materials taken from midcentury modernist design, including glass blocks, birch and perforated sheet metals.
Speaking about the new design of the store, Très Bien creative director Hannes Hogeman explained the inspiration: “as we focus a lot on materials and fabrics in our trade, it felt logical to have the same approach to our interior. We have a stern, almost scholarly visual identity in order to let garments play the key part. However, when you enter the HQ store, it needs to feel unmistakably like Très Bien. Together with MP12 we formed the idea of familiarity through public spaces. We also want to highlight the fact that the building houses our HQ, letting the office almost bleed into the store through parts of the furniture.”
As well as unveiling the store, Très Bien has also announced plans for an international expansion. Although details are currently scarce, a physical retail space will be opening outside of Sweden at some point in early 2020. Stay tuned for details.
