Putting its own spin on a familiar color scheme, ASICS has released “Outdoor Pack” takes on the GEL-Lyte V, GEL-Kayano 26 and GEL-Quantum 360 5 Trail. The theme draws its color palette from the great outdoors, namely rich, verdant forests — an earthy style which each silhouette interprets in a different fashion.
The GEL-Lyte V uses a mix of olive mesh and suede for its upper, providing bright hits of secondary color with neon orange accents on the midfoot logo’s trim as well as the tongue and heel. Down below, a faint grey midsole and gum outsole finalize the look. The GEL-Kayano 26 keeps its sleek and speedy distance running design fully in place, but gets into the pack’s trail-ready spirit with its colorful accents, gum outsole and blaze orange GEL tech.
Meanwhile, the new-age GEL-Quantum 360 5 Trail opts for a look that’s much more technical in nature, yet nearly identical in hue. The upper is constructed of a synthetic mesh, which is overlaid with abstract shapes and leather midfoot detailing. Taped seams and a full-foot GEL cushioning system offer trail-ready performance, and a gum outsole completes the stylings.
All three pairs will release November 8 on asics.com and at select retailers. The GEL-Lyte V is priced at $110 USD, the Quantum 350 5 Train at $150 USD, and the GEL-Kayano 26 at $160 USD.
