Swiss watch manufacturer RJ has unveiled its latest timepiece in the RJ X BATMAN VILLAINS collection, this time around aptly tapping The Joker.
RJ draws inspiration from the villain and the recent Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix, which has been in the limelight for months and has since gone on to make millions at the Box Office. The chronograph itself is limited to just 100 pieces and channels the super-villain’s aesthetic through its purple and green alligator skin straps. His flamboyant nature is echoed by a number of design details throughout the 45mm watch, such as a face that has been airbrushed to mimic The Joker’s makeup and a titanium bezel that is chaotically laser engraved with a Joker-influenced pattern.
Other smaller details include hands finished with Ace playing card tips, referencing The Joker’s razor-sharp weapons, and the chronograph second hand is finished in “Joker Purple” with a stylized “J” at its base. On the reverse of the titanium case, you can find a bold laser-engraved portrait of The Joker alongside the stamp “One of 100 Limited Edition.”
Each piece costs $15,700 USD and is completely unique as the dial is hand-painted. Take a closer look at the RJ ARRAW “The Joker” Watch Series in the gallery above.
In other news, a rare Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman” has been found in a $25 USD thrift store couch.
