GALL Delivers SS20 Collection Based on Idea of "Nothingness"
Featuring all-over abstract prints and customizable outerwear.
After delivering its Fall/Winter 2019 collection of military-inspired looks and combat-ready accessories, Italian techwear brand GALL returns with its latest selection for Spring/Summer 2020. Titled “Nihil,” which means “nothing” in Latin, the collection features graphics created by designer Justin Gall centered around the idea of “nothingness.”
The collection includes outerwear, crewnecks, pants, shorts, T-shirts, headwear and accessories. Paint and drip-stain techniques — modern takes on the camouflage print — cover the garments in “Stain Pink,” “Cave Gray” and “Aquatic Blue” colorways. While the brand includes classic face masks and headwear in its SS20 selection, it also incorporates detachable arm and leg units, which makes outerwear and pants customizable. Highlights include reflective shorts with two large zip pockets for extra storage, deconstructed vest silhouettes and a long printed jacket with pouches covering the front.
Technical fabrics made to ensure comfort, durability, and protection from the elements, are used for the pieces’ construction, remaining lightweight enough for the spring and summer seasons. “Nihil” showcases GALL’s futuristic aesthetics, abstract prints, and deconstructed silhouettes, hoping to embody “where nothing is everything and everything is nothing.”
