Ferrari and PUMA Advance Partnership With New SF Cell Alien
Combining race-ready colors and casual style.
One’s an Italian manufacturer of ultra performance automobiles, the other a German footwear and apparel producer, but Ferrari and PUMA have enjoyed a long and fruitful collaborative relationship, the latest product of which is this new SF Cell Alien.
The heavily layered lifestyle shoe uses black mesh as a base, then places several white leather overlays on top. The majority of the race-ready detailing is provided by the midfoot, which offers a combination of a yellow Ferrari badge and a carbon fiber print take on PUMA’s signature Formstripe. Both the eyestays and heel add bright pops of red, plus further branding. Moving down to the shoe’s bottom half, the white foam midsole equips multi-chambered red Cell tech in the back for comfort and support, while a black outsole completes the look.
Ferrari is familiar with Cell silhouettes as they took on the Cell Venom at the top of the year, but the chunky styling here is certainly a bold departure from other past releases like their various PUMA Suedes.
The Ferrari x PUMA SF Cell Alien will release at retailers like Overkill on October 17, with a MSRP of €130 EUR (approx. $144 USD).
PUMA’s got other collaborative projects going on as well; the brand recently teamed with ADER error for a Trailfox Overland, and launched a full Renaissance-inspired collection for Italy.
