Apple TV+ Releases Trailer for Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul's 'Truth Be Told' Series
The series will focus on the consequences of justice when done in the public eye.
Apple has released the first trailer for Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul‘s murder-mystery drama Truth be Told. This limited series will follow podcaster Poppy Parnell (Spencer) as she is coerced to reopen the murder case that made her a national star and come face to face with Warren Cave (Paul), the man she may have wrongly accused and put behind bars. The series through Parnell’s actions will examine critical concerns about privacy, media, and race.
Creator and producer Nichelle Tramble Spellman spoke with EW about the upcoming limited series and stated: “It’s a crime drama centered on the ripple effect in families when they’re touched by crime.” Spencer added: “My character has to examine if she helped put an innocent boy in prison. We’re exploring the consequences when the pursuit of justice is on a public stage.”
