Kyrie Irving Will Be Starring in Skirvin Hotel-Themed Horror Movie
Inspired by his own supernatural encounters.
Five times NBA All-Star player Kyrie Irving confirms his return to the cinema screen, starring in a horror movie.
Uncle Drew will contribute to the production as well as joining the cast of the unnamed horror film about the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City. The inn was opened in 1911 and according to myths, the number of paranormal activities started to grow in the 1930s after a mistress of the owner died.
The NBA teams always spend their nights at the Skirvin Hotel whenever they have a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Having heard of the haunted stories, some players refuse to stay, whereas the others would have supernatural encounters. Influenced by his own experiences at the inn, the idea of the movie immediately caught Kyrie’s attention.
The Boston Celtics superstar will work in collaboration with Imagine Entertainment chairmen Brian Grazer and Bobby Cohen. In order to promote the upcoming film, the Imagine Studios has written an article for the Players’ Tribune, listing encounters with apparitions at the Skirvin Hotel of several NBA players.
