KAWS to Debut New “KAWS:HOLIDAY” Outdoor Project in Taipei
Featuring a 36-meter-long Companion.

AllRightsReserved releases news of its next art project with KAWS, this time taking place in Taipei. The outdoor installation also sees help from Mandopop star JJ Lin‘s JFJ Production, as a massive 36-meters-long KAWS Companion will be erected at Taipei’s Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
With this being KAWS’ largest sculptural endeavor to date, the artist looks to share some of the excitement by releasing a number of exclusive vinyl Companions and merch. The items being released are: three vinyl Companions in the new “seated” position, a set of four ceramic plates, five T-shirts, and three tote bags. A nice little detail can be seen on the tees where the KAWS graphic incorporates the xiao long bao soup dumpling into the text — a must-try food for anyone visiting Taipei.
The entire list of items ranges from $199 USD — $50 USD, and will be available at the installation’s pop-up store starting from 6PM (Taipei Standard Time), January 19. The items will also be available on the CLOT web store and DING DONG Takuhaibin on January 19, 6AM EST.
Those visiting Taipei from January 19 to January 27 will be fortunate enough to catch this installation.
