Converse Releases a New Chuck Taylor 70 With a Retro Basketball Feel
With a nostalgic tube sock ankle.
Converse‘s Chuck Taylor 70 High was one of the first basketball sneakers introduced, and since its debut, the pair has been winning the hearts of sneakerheads with its timeless charm. The American label now offers a vintage basketball-inspired silhouette of the classic model.
The new Chuck Taylor 70 features black matte uppers in choice of black, or white color schemes. Differing from the canvas models, this latest iteration incorporates a striped tube sock design with elastic ribbing on the ankle that makes putting on a breeze. In order to fully commit to the retro look, a leather Converse logo is stitched on to the medial side while thin laces interweave through silver eyelets.
Pricing at $90 USD, the new Chuck Taylor 70 High is now available on Converse’s website and at select retailers.
