Audemars Piguet Debuts Limited Edition Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin
Limited to 100 pieces.
Audemars Piguet presents a limited edition timepiece that is more compact than the Royal Oak 41mm Ref. 15500, yet with less over-the-top functions than the Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked.
Matched with the titanium case back and folding clasp, the black Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin is the third RO within the line which incorporates a ceramic case, bracelet and bezel. Defying the Swiss watchmaker’s classical design, the original grid-patterned dial is replaced with the new ripple-like “Tapisserie Evolutive” which expands from the tourbillon at the 6 o’clock position. A Calibre 2924 Manufacture movement gets the hand-wound wristwatch beating at 3 Hz while it has 70 hours of power reserve.
Featuring a display case back, the rear shows a power reserve indicator and also the inner mechanism of the timepiece. Limited to 100 pieces, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra-Thin is priced at CHF 156,000 (approximately $159,130 USD). Check out the watchmaker’s website for more details.
